Since the first day of medical school, we at DFW COVIDsitters have been taught how socioeconomic and environmental factors affect health and wellbeing. Our work as physicians will be vitally important, but at the end of the day, a person's health outcomes is determined by a multitude of factors. The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on healthcare through many different avenues.
