DFW COVIDsitters is committed to making sure your family needs are being met. We have made it our goal to relieve some of the burden by helping take care of your family, free of charge. Texas has provided childcare options for essential workers. However, we realize that as medical professionals, you may need to be in the hospital at all hours of the day/night, and we’re here to bridge any childcare gaps.
BRIDGING THE GAPS
Our volunteers provide free childcare. Any healthcare worker can request our help — that includes hospital cleaning crews, cafeteria workers, lab techs, OT’s, RT’s, etc. Thank you for keeping us safe!

Request help
Fill out our form and and our team forwards the request to board to review. We will never publicly share identifying information like your name or job.
Watch for the email
You will receive an email from Clinician Nexus when we find a volunteer to help you. The email will include contact information for your volunteer. As a reminder, we forward what the volunteer tells us. We aren’t able to verify the student’s details or conduct a background check. You can see our application process under FAQs.
Get help
Once you’re connected to your volunteer, you can coordinate the details with them. Many families arrange a phone call or in-person meeting to make sure everyone is comfortable with the match. If you need more volunteer help or have other questions, reach out to dfwcovidsitters@gmail.com
